Lucy Holman Taborda is a printmaker based in South London. She works with colour and texture inspired by the shapes and forms in nature.
Keeping a sketchbook is an important part of her creative practice using observational drawings from her travels and life in London to build the visual language for her prints. She works across a variety of printing processes but is most often drawn to the mark making possibilities of collagraph, screen printing and woodblock.
Lucy’s work focuses on drawing out the details we can easily pass by in order to capture a memory and sense of place. She has an interest in travel and experiencing different cultures as well as connecting with the heritage and landscapes within the UK.
With a Bachelors in History of Art Lucy returned to her creative education in 2024 taking time out of her career within the arts sector to pursue an Art and Design Foundation specialising in Printmaking and Ceramics. She is continuing her development through an advanced printmaking course and is an Associate Member of the East London Printmakers.
